Shuai ge!

Parents can tell but never teach, unless they practice what they preach.
Life is like a sewer... what you get out of it depends on what you put into it.
Without vision, we are blind to opportunity.
Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
Friendship is what binds the world together in peace, may we all become friends.
It matters not what you do, as long as you are the best one doing it.

Current msn nick: Weak and wasted….heading for a BURNOUT~
The whole of yesterday was testament to how tired I was.
In the morning, brain get up, but body don wan to move. Try to go back to sleep also can not. -.-‘’’
Up till now still haven gotten the bulletin done, have no idea when the darn thing will be done…argh~
Now the question is: Which one more important - Bulletin or Studies?
I did try to get the stuff to Mum to print out, coz my printer at home is kinda dyfunked. But the mail did not get to her… (*@&# yahoo mail! ARGH~
Studied all the way till it was time to leave the house and go meet Jared to SIM to train.
I expected to be doing nothing but patterns during training, since grading is this Sunday, but Mr. Chow had other things in mind. We went through the normal routine instead. The kicks yesterday were sappers. They sapped all our energy. Mainly because they were not the usual ones that we usually do, its good that we got some variety but then, I being tired and getting more of my energy drained… you do the math. By the time we started doing our patterns, we were all rather zombie-fied. Half way through doing the patterns I had to sit down…actually I went flat onto the floor. Haha~ Heng didn’t get scolding from Mr. Chow. Haha~
I also taught Desmond and Genevieve their new patterns (aka my pattern for Sunday). I was so mentally and physically ‘gone’ that I got the pattern wrong. Spent most of the time apologizing to them for messing up. *sigh*
The CC training was what I expected. Warm-ups followed by patterns. Patterns all the way till the end of class. The turn out was ‘hwah’. I have never seen so many people on the court at one time.
The ‘Uncle –Auntie’ gang/society turned out in full force. Ian managed to make his way down. Heh~ My Shuai-ge ah! Then again, maybe I am just biased. Anyone in a black-belt gi looks good. Very good indeed.
–migumi laughter-
I was put in-charge of the white-belters. They are cute but very good at making me cough blood.
After training ended, Ian whipped out his camera and we took photos. Wheee~ So fun! Still in the process of getting them from him to put on my site… can’t wait to put them all up! :D
Needless to say, I had a very good sleep last night. Sadly, I am still lethargic, but I shall work through it! Abnegation all the way!

Ctrl ‘c’ + Ctrl ‘v’ from an e-mail sent to me by Auntie Rose:

Noah's Ark Everything I need to know, I learned from Noah's Ark.
ONE: Don't miss the boat.

TWO: Remember that we are all in the same boat.

THREE: Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.

FOUR: Stay fit. When you're 60 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.

FIVE: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.

SIX: Build your future on high ground.

SEVEN: For safety's sake, travel in pairs.

EIGHT: Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.

NINE: When you're stressed, float awhile.

TEN: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.

ELEVEN: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting.

Hack while I am it, I might as well, get this song out of my head:

Sarah Mclachlan – Building a Mystery

You come out at night
That's when the energy comes
And the dark side's light
And the vampires roam
You strut your rasta wear
And your suicide poem
And a cross from a faith that died
Before Jesus came
You're building a mystery

You live in a church
Where you sleep with voodoo dolls
And you won't give up the search
For the ghosts in the halls
You wear sandals in the snow
And a smile that won't wash away
Can you look out the window
Without your shadow getting in the way?

You're so beautiful
With an edge and charm
but so careful
When I'm in your arms

Cause you're working
Building a mystery
Holding on and holding it in
Yeah you're working
Building a mystery
And choosing so carefully

You woke up screaming aloud
A prayer from your secret god
You feed off our fears
And hold back your tears, oh
Give us a tantrum
And a know it all grin
Just when we need one
When the evening's thin

You're a beautiful
A beautiful fucked up man
You're setting up your
Razor wire shrine

Cause you're working
Building a mystery
Holding on and holding it in
Yeah you're working
Building a mystery
And choosing so carefully

Ooh you're working
Building a mystery
Holding on and holding it in
Yeah you're working
Building a mystery
And choosing so carefully

Yeah you're working
Building a mystery
Holding on and holding it in
Yeah you're working
Building a mystery
And choosing so carefully

You're building a mystery

Just for Kimiaki

A peacock who sits on his tail is just another turkey.
He who never made a mistake never made a discovery.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.
If you are willing to admit faults, you have one less fault to admit.
You cannot get to the top by sitting on your bottom.

Kimiaki Me!
-great big giant hugz-
Just came back from cell group.
The joy of the Lord is my strength! Yeah babeh yeah!!! :D
I think your boss(es) a bit off their rocket…how can don’t have a committee?
The event is such a ‘hwah’ thing and they throw all the work to one person?!
Ludicrous!
Heinous!
Rubbish!
Insane!

Either they have lost some screws in their heads or they have been skipping their daily medicine dosages.
Want me to bish them for you?

Burning out

It takes both sunshine and rain to make a rainbow.
Anger is a condition in which the tongue works faster than the mind.
Everything has beauty but not everyone sees it.
There are no short cuts to any place worth going.
Free speech carries with it some freedom to listen.
A man who thinks too much about his ancestors is like a potato—the best part of him is underground.
A ship in the harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for.
A closed mouth gathers no feet.
Your heart understands what your head cannot yet conceive; trust your heart.

I am heading for a serious burnout.
Two days of rushing around and being on my feet and on a mental alert has really taken a toll on my physical wellbeing. I guess it’s not just the past two days that are the cause of my being tired, the headless chicken routine and busy schedule have been round for quite some time already, the only thing being that the last two days have been extra crazy.
What’s more, I can’t seem to get enough sleep. My body clock is bloody messed up. I go to bed utterly wasted and automatically wake up at 9.30am the next morning. My mind is very awake but my body is very tired. You qi wu li. *sigh*

Yesterday was the one and only day which I had to stay in school from 9am to 9pm for revision classes.
Praise God! I stayed awake during the whole time period and managed to listen to everything the lecturers had to say. Today’s main agenda to re-read the notes and get the stuff they said into my brain. With God’s help I will be able to do it! Wooohooo~
Since lectures ran through out the whole day, I did not have the chance to go for training, so I did the next best thing – drop by and see how everyone was.
Shi Min finally had common lectures with me and Yang Mui. Miss having her in my classes xia~ Shirleena was also in my sociology class. Made new friends yesterday as well. Heh~ Thomas and Keith. Thomas is a friend of Shirleena and Keith is Desmond’s buddy.
Desmond was in the same mathematics lecture as me last night. The poor guy(Desmond) has four classes with Amos. Aiyo~ I have to study real hard to be prepared for his(Amos) lectures… I am not exactly look forward to them(Amos' lectures) due to all the stuff which my seniors and friends have been telling me about him(Amos) and his lectures…
-starts pulling hair out-
Well guys, congratulate yourselves on being able to get through the >12 hour marathon. Don forget to study hard and smart~
On transit between buses en-route home, I think I met Justin Ang. You know who that is? That Perfect 10 Dj…then again, I also thought I saw Jie Yang at one of the bus stops…so most likely I am wrong… I was very tired… and by that time, my brain had already shutted down, can you really blame me? Heh~
The usual shutdown time for my brain is 10.30pm, but since school was on for such a long time yesterday, the shut down time got brought forward…

I enjoy meeting new people, very fun to enlarge my circle of friends. :D

I can’t believe how crazy Jared is.
He bought 50 tubs of Chubby Hubby and finished 48 of them within a 12 hour period. Count that - 50! O.O
Then again, maybe his tummy's got worms that are crazy about chocolate.
50!
Spell that - F-I-F-T-Y!
50!
Argh! So many ah~
And he’s buying 100 today as we speak… o.O’’’

So much to do, so little time to finish them.

Time to go study and finish that bulletin!
The joy of the Lord is my strength!
Cheers! ^-^

My first full cup of ...

A bird in the hand is safer than one overhead.
You can lead a fool to wisdom but you can't make him think.
"A Wise Man can see more from the bottom of a well than a Fool can see from the top of a mountain." .
"You never test the depth of a river with both feet."
"Hear and you forget; see and you remember; do and you understand."

Sharon once again got on her headless chicken and went about her Sunday.
Equation of the day:
Not enough food + mocha + training + lack of sleep =?

Easter Sunday! What a wonderful occasion!
I serve a risen Savior! How cool is that?!
The first service went out to do saturation last Sunday to get the kids in the Geylang East area aware of the programmes we were going to run today. Praise God! The saturation was a success – new kids turned up for our special event! Not only that, there were children who gave their lives to Jesus! Oh happy day! ^-^
There are also people who have joined the BCM family as teachers. Nadia will be helping out in both the first and second service. Jason on the other hand will only be throwing himself into the workings of the second service. All the same, it’s nice to have new members in the family. :)
I also requested Ps. Cat to extend the deadline for the bulletin. She said yes and now I got a load off my shoulders…not for long anyway… the deadline is two weeks from now.

Did not go for second service today, instead, I went home to eat lunch and then go down to Seng Kang to meet Jie Yang and study.
But before I left church, I meet up with Kimiaki.
THANKS FOR THE MAGNET!!!!!
-great big giant huge hugz-
I thought that I was going to be late reaching the ‘check point’ , but Jie Yang ended up being later than I. We studied at the library for quite a while. Thank God I had JY there to help me move my grey matter. I find that if I study alone, my brain does not seem to absorb anything. Studying with other people around gets my neurons working. Being confused is a good thing, as long as the confusion is cleared up in the right way. Thanks JY! ^-^
From young, I have always stayed away from the beverage and I personally dislike the bitter taste that all coffees have.
Today, however, I broken tradition and took my first full cup of coffee. Mocha, to be exact. Why did I do it? I was falling asleep. O.o’’’ and I thought I might as well try the drink and get it over and done with.
Result?
Caffeine high. REAL high.
Conclusion?
I still do not like coffee. I don think I will take another cup unless absolutely necessary.

From SK, I went home to get changed and get ready for training. I would have stayed at home if not for the fact that grading is next Sunday. Oh how time flies~
As mentioned earlier, I was on a caffeine rush for at the beginning of training. From there, everything went down hill.
I guess I did not eat enough during lunch, so that’s probably why by the halfway mark of training, I was starting to feel very faint. Read that: VERY faint.
Blurred vision and the inability to hold myself up make for a rather scary experience. A big thank you to: Chi Fong, Fulin, Jeyanthi and Ian for looking out for me.
Thank you to Jeyanthi for lending me the text book. :D
Thank God I managed to make it home.
Must remember to eat more (but not too much), before training the next time round. *sigh*

Oddly enough, I am looking forward to studying for my exams now.
That’s a good thing right? O.o

American Idol 4 is shaping up to be even better than AI2. As you know, AI2 is my favorite solely because of Mr. Clay Aiken. During that season, I would rush to the computer after every episode and download the song(s) he sang. Too bad I lost all of them when my family switched to the new computer. He can serenade me anytime xia~ XD
But I digress…
This new bunch of finalists are not only good singers but have good showmanship as well.
Hang on!
I need to tell you about my theory about the winner of American Idol!
(please pardon the terms I use…it’s the simplest I can think of)
AI1 – Kelly Clarkson – White girl
AI2 – Reuben – Black guy
AI3 – Fantasia – Black girl
AI4 - ? – White guy (?)
That’s just my theory… anything could happen. Ah…the beauty of life. ^-^
And once again I digress!
I think the finalists are good and I happen to think that Anwar is totally awesome. Bo is also very cool. Constantine should be the next to go… I only like his name… heh~
-lapses into a day dream about Keanu Reeves-
*SIGH~*
Ahem!
As I was saying, this season is going to be awesome and it will be hard to decide who the next ou xiang will be…I wonder if my theory will hold any weight...hmmm…

I realize that though I am usually early for most of my appointments I have been making that mistake of being late on my friends…I am sorry guys… I will do my best to be on time from now on…or rather…I shall stick to my ‘early’ ways as much as possible. No promises though. -_-‘’’

Parveen-warveen-muffin-sugarbabe!
Movie orgy!!!! Food fiesta!!!! Can’t wait for my exams to be over… so many things to look forward to. :D Got any more ideas as to what to do when we next meet up?

Got this in an e-mail from Long Jie…enjoy!

A jobless man applied for the position of 'office boy' at a Multi-National Company. The HR manager interviewed him, then gave him a test, which was to clean the floor.

After that the HR manager said, "You are engaged, give me your e-mail address, and I'll send you the application to fill, as well as when you will start".

The man replied, " I don't have a computer, neither an email"

"I'm sorry", said the HR manager,"if you don't have an email, that means you do not exist. And who doesn't exist, cannot have the job".

The man left with no hope at all. He didn't know what to do, with only 10US$ in his pocket. The man then decided to go to the supermarket and buy a 10 Kg tomato crate. He sold the tomatoes in a door-to-door round.

In less than two hours, He succeeded to double his capital. He repeated the operation three times, and returned home with 60US$. The man realized that he could survive this way, and started to go everyday earlier, and return late. Thus, hismoney doubled and tripled day by day. Shortly later, he bought a cart, then a truck, then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles. 5 years later, the man became one of the biggest food retailers in the U. S. He started to plan his family's future, and decided to get life insurance. He called an insurance broker, and choose a protection plan.

When the conversation was concluded, the broker asked him for his e-mail.
The man replied: "I don't have an email".
The broker replied curiously, "you don't have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire. Do you imagine what you could have been if you had an email?"

The man thought for a while, and replied: "an office boy at a Multi-National Company!"

The moral of this story:
1 - Internet is not the solution to your life.
2 - if you don't have Internet, and work hard, you can be a millionaire.
3 - if you received this message by email, you are closer to be an office boy, rather than a millionaire.

P.S.: Do not reply to this email, I am going to sell tomatoes... :p

Long day tomorrow…have a good week you all!
-hugs-

I made the decision a few weeks ago to go to PLMC with my parents on Good Friday. I kinda miss going to church with my parents. It is a time to worship God and absorb what the Lord wishes you to receive with loved ones. Makes me feel like a ten year old again, sitting in between Daddy and Mummy whilst sharing bible with either one of them. Oh well…
The service was good and I have learnt. I hope I do not forget.

Saturday morning – cough blood.
Saturday afternoon – studied a bit, tried to get the bulletin done…failed…went out for dinner with my shi di ala Di di ala Jared. It’s fun to have a younger brother. Taught him some tkd patterns as well… he is kind rusty…heh~

How much information have I gotten into my head over the past few days?
O.olll
Every time I try to get work done, I get side tracked by something else…and in the end, the total amount of studying time goes into the negative zone…argh~
MUG SHARON MUG!

Easter Sunday here I come!!!!

P.S.
I found when I woke up on Thursday morning that I have more blue-blacks than i initially thought that I got from Jacky...*ouch*

Sparring

War does not determine who is right, war determine who is left.
Man who eat prunes get good run for money.
Wife who put husband in doghouse soon find him in cathouse.

I went for double training today. Hee hee…yes I guess I should not have done so because of my current state of health, but oddly enough, I feel lots better because of the exercise I had. :D The rain also did wonders for the weather and my general wellbeing. I hate the haze, drives my nose nuts and the breathing gets harder because of it. Thank God for the rain!
I met up with Jared and brought him down to S.I.M. for a training session with my club members. I guess he got an eye full of what we do in S.I.M. It’s very different from the training at the C.C.
We got caught in the rain while trying to make our way to the Kovan to meet up and I did not get to buy more food for my dinner. Man! Jared can sure eat a lot…scary xia~
Never seen so many people turn up for training before. I think the number of people who showed their faces surpasses that day where photos were taken of us. Haha~
Training today was rather different from the usual because I managed to psycho Jill into taking the body guards down from the student lounge for us to try sparring. It was a very interesting experience. My first time sparring. Actually it was the first time for Desmond and Chen Qing as well.
Here are the sparring pairs:
Yong Jet vs Desmond
Sharon vs Jacky
Chen Qing vs Li Hua
Ticha vs Ferlyn
Yong Jet vs Jared
Jill vs Li Hua
Why oh why did I have to end up against Jacky?
Blue verses Green tip where got fair fight one?
Some more she is a total screamer. She is very good at intimidating people with her shouting. I had to remind myself to shout whenever I kicked. I wished I had thought more about what kicks I wanted to do, but I guess the moment Mr. Chow said ‘Go!’ all I could think about was to kick Jackie … and the whole time, I used only my right leg, which is very boring and wrong. Both of us kicked at the each other’s shins as if there were targets on our shins…shesh~ We should have aimed higher…that’s what the body guards are for in the first place. -.-;;; I have learned my lesson, just have to remember what I was thought. I also have a whole right leg of blue blacked shin to remind me… *ouch*
The match between Desmond and Yong Jet was very unexpected. The distance between their belts is about the same as mine and Jackie’s. Their kicks were good and Desmond really let loose. He went all out to whack Yong Jet. Heh~ I asked him how he finds sparring and he says he likes it and that it’s interesting. Genevieve also has the same opinion; then again she did not get to spar because of her sun burns. I guess it is fun to see live sparring, but there is a big difference between watching and really being in the thick of the action with so many eyes on you. That's my two cents worth.
Jet sparred with Jared and it was like watching I.V.P. Very nice to see kicks in action. Jet is a good fighter, but I guess I should not be surprised because he has the most experience of us all in the sparring department. Jurong CC has full contact sparring on a regular basis, so does NTU. Jared, who has not sparred for 7-8 odd years, has earned the title of Drunken Master. You would have to see him in action to understand why he got that name. –wink-
After the sparring, we did the patterns which we are to do for the up and coming grading. I have also started learning the brown tip pattern. Wooohooo~ But for now, the green tip pattern is my priority. Must perfect it xia!
I hope that we will have sparring again on next Wednesday and that Jared can make it down as well. :D
From S.I.M., we rushed down to the Kovan CC to go for training number two. Ellie was put in-charge for the first time. She did a rather decent job. :) Good for her! Did kicks and the usual pattern teaching. I am very concern about the little ones. They can’t seem to concentrate enough to get their patterns correct. Makes me want to pull out my hair, cough blood and cry all at the same time. *sigh*
Overall, it was a good sweat out. I love exercising! I love T.K.D.! ^-^

Remember the bulletin I am supposed to do for the B.C.M.?
Well, I can’t seem to get it done because I don have the proper stuff to finish doing my typing. I e-mailed Ps. Catherine to ask her for the stuff I need to finish the bulletin and she never replied me… My home printer got no ink. So I though I might was well use the cut and paste method to do something arty-farty, but if I can’t type all the stuff out and send it to Mum for printing… how in the first place am I supposed to get the darn job done? How I ask you? How? HOW???!!!!

Tomorrow got nothing on for school. MUST MUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
STUDY SHARON STUDY AH~
Have to learn from Yang Mui and study like crazy, not much time left. Argh~

Books here I come! Lai dao wo huai bao ba!

- Sign on backseat of Taxi

"If history repeats itself, I should think we can expect the same thing again."
- Terry Venables

My nose has progressed from being blocked to becoming a dripping tap. My eye is also tearing. Just now went to the market with TKM, had to keep blowing my nose and wiping my eye… mah chum I look like I crying over goodness knows what … haha…
Apart from that, i have also lost my voice... i sound more like a croaking frog... keep coughing and got phlem as well... yucks...
Afred and Jill are also sick. Down with fever and cough respectively. Poorthings. Get well soon ah~

Yang Mui,
How’s the studying coming along?
Shi Min is with us on the Amos trip?
I donno whether to be happy or not for her…haha… well, it would be good to have another comrade along for the experience of ‘Famous’ Amos. XD

Yellowcard – Only One

Broken this fragile thing now
And I can't, I can't pick up the pieces
And I've thrown my words all around
But I can't, I can't give you a reason

I feel so broken up (so broken up)
And I give up (I give up)
I just want to tell you so you know

(Chorus)
Here I go, scream my lungs out and try get to you
You are my only one
I let go, there's just no one that gets me like you do
You are my only, my only one

Made my mistakes, let you down
And I can't, I can't hold on for too long
Ran my whole life in the ground
And I can't, I can't get up when you're gone

And something's breaking up (breaking up)
I feel like giving up (like giving up)
I won't walk out until you know

(Chorus)
Here I go, scream my lungs out and try get to you
You are my only one
I let go, there's just no one that gets me like you do
You are my only my only one

(Interlude)

Here I go...so dishonestly leave a note for you my only one
And I know...you can see right through me
So let me go...and you will find some one

Here I go, scream my lungs out and try get to you
You are my only one
I let go, there's just no one...no one like you
You are my only my only one
My only one(x3)
You are my only my only one!

It seems that the more studying I do, the more music I listen to…this is just one of the nicer ones I have been blasting my ears with… thanks to Kor kor for passing it to me. ^-^

Back to the books/ notes!

To studying hard!

Hard to breathe ah~

"He's a guy who gets up at six o'clock in the morning regardless of what time it is."
- Lou Duva, veteran boxing trainer, on the Spartan training regime of heavyweight Andrew Golota.

"I'm a 4-wheel-drive pickup type of guy. So is my wife."
- Mike Greenwell, Baseball player

"If only faces could talk..."
- Pat Summerall, Sportscaster, during the Super Bowl

"Solutions are not the answer."
- Richard Nixon, former U.S. President

It’s official!
I have started the mugging! Woohoo~
I am stressed! It’s a good kind of stress… it is driving me to work harder… thank you to Aziz, Desmond, Shirleena, Gordon and Yong Jet. My hair will turn white because of you all. Don worry … I like white hair… ^-^
I am down with the flu! Crap!

Studied with Desmond, Aziz and Shirleena for the past two days.
Did all the subjects. Lots of knowledge traded. Not forgetting the laughs. ^-^
I still got a long way to go xia~
As I said earlier, it’s the good type of stress, all I need to do is work harder and I won’t feel it so much…then again, having more of it would be good, push me to concentrate harder…
MUG! MUG! MUG! MUG!
Oh yeah! The syntex of my sentences is starting to go out of order as well... i wonder what that means...hrmm...

Maroon 5 – Harder to Breathe

How dare you say that my behavior is unacceptable
So condescending unnecessarily critical
I have the tendency of getting very physical
So watch your step cause if I do you'll need a miracle

You drain me dry and make me wonder why I'm even here
This Double Vision I was seeing is finally clear
You want to stay but you know very well I want you gone
Not fit to funkin' tread the ground that I'm walking on

When it gets cold outside and you got nobody to love
You'll understand what I mean when I say
There's no way we're gonna give up
And like a little girl cries in the face of a monster that lives in her dreams
Is there anyone out there cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe
Is there anyone out there cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe

What you are doing is screwing things up inside my head
You should know better you never listened to what I've said
Clutching your pillow and writhing in a naked sweat
Hoping somebody someday will do you like I did

When it gets cold outside and you got nobody to love
You'll understand what I mean when I say
There's no way we're gonna give up
And like a little girl cries in the face of a monster that lives in her dreams
Is there anyone out there cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe
Is there anyone out there cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe

Does it kill
Does it burn
Is it painful to learn
That it's me that has all the control

Does it thrill
Does it sting
When you feel what I bring
And you wish that you had me to hold

When it gets cold outside and you got nobody to love
You'll understand what I mean when I say
There's no way we're gonna give up
And like a little girl cries in the face of a monster that lives in her dreams
Is there anyone out there cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe
Is there anyone out there cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe
is there anyone out there cuz its gettin harder and harder to breathe

I like this song…. The first time I heard it I was shocked.
“How come got vulgarity on the radio one?!” Then I checked out the lyrics and realized that my hearing was a bit off… Different words…similar sound… haha…
For now, the title sums up the state of my health...

Worried about my economics…the UOL revision lecture is in April and I need to prepare big time. Don‘t want to cry during the lecture… ’Famous’ Amos…ARGH~~~~
MUG! MUG! MUG! MUG!

Did not go for cell group again today… why?
(Hint: See Up)
Don’t want to pass the virus to other people…especially Auntie Kia Moey… She pregnant lah~
I hope it does not become a trend… I miss going to cell group… *sigh*

To everyone having exams soon:
JIA YOU!!!!! ^-^

OK, getting late…
Need to do that bulletin and M-U-G!!!!
Cheers!

"We're going to move left and right at the same time."
- Jerry Brown, Governor of California

"Traditionally, most of Australia's imports come from overseas."
- Former Australian cabinet minister Keppel Enderbery

My body is going haywire on me.
My nose is stuffed and dripping like a tap.
My throat hurts.
My ear is painful.
My sleep pattern is in a mess.
What the hack is going on?!?!

It has occurred to me that having broad band is making me cut down on my blogging. I can’t seem to get anything down when I send most of my time chatting with the people who are online…heh…I end up losing my trend of thought and forgetting what I wanted to type down in the first place. =.=;;;

Saturday was not bad.
Went to church to do spring cleaning for the BCM.
Sneeze and sneeze and glow and glow. Good thing untie Doris made us wear the face masks. I walked around the church the whole day with the mask on and received comments ranging from me being a doctor to being part of Star Wars. Official occupation/nick for the day: a character in SARs Wars. :p
Had dinner with the ministry people. 5 course meal…mmmm….not bad~
Could not wait to get home and bathe xia~

Sunday’s main agenda was to take pictures for the BCM bulletin. Ps. Catherine placed me and Reuben in charge but then since he is studying for his O’levels, I am pretty much on my own for the whole project. *sigh*
And the deadline for the darn thing is next Sunday!
-faints-
God give me strength!!!!!
Took pictures of my 1st service kids, 2nd service children and even the TNC cuties… so many photos to load onto my site (currently in the midst of doing that)…what bliss…I also took photos on Saturday… I had to load those as well…sadly, the bulletin will not be in colour except for the paper its printed on, so the pictures will all be in black and white. *sigh*

After lunch, I headed for home and my bed - which is where I spent all of my 3 hours before I had to leave for TKD training. Had rather weird dreams during my nap, which would kinda be a very good example of how tired I am after going through the last few days. Heh~
Training was not bad, considering my nose and the coughing I did during the session. If I am not wrong, Mr. Chow is supposed to come back from Korea today… donno what time though…all the same, Jared was put in-charge with me, Chi Fong and Alfred helping out here and there.
Chi Fong and Fulin have very nice kicks…especially their 360. Alfred and Jared…they black belters liao, don have to have to talk about their pro kicks. Heh~ I have yet to see Alf and Jar doing 540 though… confirm good lah.
Hung out with Chi Fong, Ken and Fulin after training…watched them eat dinner before making my way home for my own food. Watched Jue Di Xuang Jiao… so long never see that movie liao. The first time I watched it, I missed the last part, so I finally got to see the ending of the movie. Funny xia! Lin Chin Xia is so beautiful and Andy Lao is bloody good looking! *swoon*

I will be spending the whole day in school on Monday.
Morning Economics Ting-ting class, then study and then got training.
The joy of the Lord is my strength! Woohooo~

Repeat after me:
Need to Mug!
Need to Mug!
Need to MUG!!!!!

I have fallen in love with this song:

Sarah McLachlan - Fallen

Heaven bent to take my hand
And lead me through the fire
Be the long awaited answer
To a long and painful fight

Truth be told I've tried my best
But somewhere along the way
I got caught up in all there was to offer
And the cost was so much more than I could bear

Though I've tried, I've fallen...
I have sunk so low
I have messed up
Better I should know
So don't come round here
And tell me I told you so...

We all begin with good intent
Love was raw and young
We believed that we could change ourselves
The past could be undone
But we carry on our backs the burden
Time always reveals
The lonely light of morning
The wound that would not heal
It's the bitter taste of losing everything
That I have held so dear.

I've fallen...
I have sunk so low
I have messed up
Better I should know
So don't come round here
And tell me I told you so...

Heaven bent to take my hand
Nowhere left to turn
I'm lost to those I thought were friends
To everyone I know
Oh they turned their heads embarassed
Pretend that they don't see
But it's one missed step
You'll slip before you know it
And there doesn't seem a way to be redeemed

Though I've tried, I've fallen...
I have sunk so low
I have messed up
Better I should know
So don't come round here
And tell me I told you so...

Yeah, yeah, I know, it’s been out for quite a while liao… but I have never been up to date with music… I am forever stuck in a time warp… right Yang Mui? Haha…

Ivan:
Hey dear, congrats on the posting.
Take care while you are at the island… I don think I would like to see any long hairs in my bed… yikes! In my prayers you shall be. ^-^

Sheena:
Yeah, I miss talking to you too. We may be in the same but we have different time tables, so even though we got common topics when it comes to studies, it is as if we’re not in the same institution. Don you think so? Jia you for the exams! Hope to see your puppies soon! :D

Siya:
Ms Congeniality 2 how? When you free to watch?
How did you find LOTR?
All the best for your papers! :)

Adelyn:
Study hard… I still contemplating about the NUS thing...argh~
-headache-
Study hard for your papers! All the best! :)

Parveen:
How’s your studies? Work? Pay?
I think that you are a bigger cam whore than I am… what are your thoughts on that? :p

Time to turn in...long day ahead…can’t wait to study O.o

Cheers! ^-^

I have had a wonderful past two days. ^-^

I went out with Ivan for lunch and ‘Robots’.
It’s a very cool and funny movie!
We found ourselves laughing at the quirky jokes and antiques of the various characters. The world of the robots is so interesting and yet they display such similarities to our reality that one has to do double takes rather often.
I shall not spoil the experience of watching the movie for you by writing more about the movie. But if and when you do get the chance to watch the movie, look out for the toilets and the ‘music video’.
Did quite a bit of walking around town and I still can not find ’Howl’s moving Castle’! I want that book!
Our afternoon got cut short by a family thing, so ‘joy ride’ for me and land up in AMK did I.

Hey Ivan! I choop you for movie/drive/drinks when you book out arh~ ^-^

I though that since I was near Bishan I might as well go crash Ying’s push cart and say hi. Who would have known that she was at the Jurong outlet that day?! Oh well…

From Bishan, I took the MRT to City Hall and walked to Suntec to meet Yong Jet and his friend for dinner. I made a new friend :) Danny is his name.
We ate at Kushin Bo (...donno if i spelt that correctly). My first time eating there. :p The buffet is totally sinful I tell you!
The cost is crazy but I guess the spread is worth it. Salmon, lobster, fish of all sorts, noodles, sushi, drinks free-flow, soft shell crab, ice cream, candy floss, etc… you might think that I am getting hungry typing all of this down but I ate so much last night I think I can not look at, let alone eat fish for the next few weeks. Have a feeling that my dreams will be haunted by salmons, demanding to know why I ate so many of their brethren. Haha~
We stayed there from the beginning to till the end of the buffet: 6pm - 10pm. Almost could not make it to the bus stop because of the food we ate. I enjoyed the company as well. We all have TKD in common so most of the jokes came from that area. Yong jet himself is a rather crappy person, so I guess I laughed a lot more because of the jokes we bounced off one another.
By the time I reached home, it was already 11pm… I managed to get the 70 in time. Heh~

Wasted lah~ I din bring the camera out with me. The cam whore would have shown her true colours. I have learnt my lesson.

Take it from me.
Wearing high heels for 12 hours is a real pain. Further more, my feet got cut by my shoes. Hurts like hell~ My feet are still aching~

Today I went to the Jurong area to play badminton with Desmond and Aziz.
I was thinking of crashing in on Yings at the Jurong outlet but she was at Bishan today. -,-;;;
The games were good. Kanna trashed by Aziz on more than one occasion. Anyone wanna join us the next time round?

After playing from 12 to 2, Desmond came over to Minton Rise to study with me. We went through Economics, Mathematics and Sociology. He is a good teacher xia~ Thanks Desmond! :D

Went for training at the CC. Had to help look after the class again because Mr. Chow is still in Korea. Have to do the same thing for the class on Sunday. Man! My feet hurt like hack xia~

Tomorrow is the 48th day before the start of the UOL exams. Thanks to the counting of Aziz and Desmond I now have a very huge drive to study my notes. White hair here I come!!!!

STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!!!

K.O. time!

High on the Holy Spirit

"China is a big country, inhabited by many Chinese."
- Charles De Gaulle, former French President

"I haven't committed a crime. What I did was fail to comply with the law."
- David Dinkins, New York City Mayor, answering accusations that he failed to pay his taxes.

"Chemistry is a class you take in high school or college, where you figure out two plus two is 10, or something."
- Dennis Rodman, NBA Basketball player, on Chicago Bull's team chemistry being overrated

"The world is more like it is now then it ever has before."
- Dwight Eisenhower

Service today was shiok!
Henry Hin (donno if I spelt his name right), came to my church today as a special speaker. He is very sensitive to the voice of God and I spent most of the service in tears because the presence of God was so intense. Totally awesome experience! I can’t wait for him to come back to Singapore!!!!
Can’t wait to go to church again next Sunday. ^-^
Oh, how I love being high on the Holy Spirit! Woohooooo~

Just came back from training… it was rather havoc even with Mr. Chow there. Coz he left Jared, Chi Fong and myself in-charge of the class while he took care of some other stuff… its good practice anyway because Mr. Chow is going to Korea for the whole of next week and the three of us have been charged with the looking after of the kids in his absence. I have a feeling it might turn out like the last time: CHAOS…but then…this time I have a hand in the discipline matters…so I guess things should go a bit better…heh~
Personally I have never seen Jared as fierce as he was today. I quite scared of his temper now, after what he told me about his secondary school life.

Went to Music Junction at Heartland Mall before training started. Bought The Incredibles, Finding Nemo and Kind Arthur. Woohooo~ I tonight no need to sleep liao lo. Can watch movies till the break of dawn. Haha~

I did not go for class on Friday. Sorry ah Yang Mui. Na-na din drive you up the wall did he?

Was supposed to have badminton with Desmond, Aziz and Jenny tomorrow but one thing after another came up for every one of us and as a result, we have to postpone the games. Donno when we will be able to play arh~ The studious person in me says that we will only be able to hit the shuttle corks after the UOL exams. *sigh* Oh well~ Have to study anyway. ARGH…STUDY!!!!

MUG Sharon MUG!!!!!!
HAVE TO STUDY AH!!!!!!!!

I love eating xiang za!

VCDs here I come!!!!
Alamak….still need to study… argh~

Cheers everyone!

Muppets and SRJC

"I think that the film Clueless was very deep. I think it was deep in the way that it was very light. I think lightness has to come from a very deep place if it's true lightness."
- Alicia Silverstone, Actress

"How to store your baby walker: First, remove baby."
- Anonymous Manufacturer

"Men, I want you just thinking of one word all season. One word and one word only: Super Bowl."
- Bill Peterson, football coach

"Most cars on our roads have only one occupant, usually the driver."
- Carol Malia, BBC Anchorwoman

Yilinn messaged me yesterday asking if I wanted to join her in going back to SRJC to visit the teachers. She had to go back to do some recruitment thing for her CCA at SMU. Effectively you could say that my going back with her was more like being a lamp-post... but what do I care? Haha
Never realized how much I miss the place.
Actually I miss the teachers more.
The building itself looks more like a pre-school. I honestly have no idea why the powers that be decided the school would look better in pastel colours. Apparently I am not the only one who thinks that the school looks like a kindergarten. Haha…
We walked around the teacher’s room and talked to the teachers who taught us. Mrs. Lim, Mr. Lyon, Ms. G, Mr. Mark Tan, Ms. Koh, Mr. Neo, Ms. Gan, Mr. Singh, Ms. Ong, Mdm. Sadiah, Mdm. Ainon, etc. We walked round until we almost forgot to eat lunch ah~
It’s sad to see the teachers so demoralized over the current batch of students. I guess the students do not realize how lucky they are to have such dedicated teachers. Having a good mathematics teacher can do wonders for a person like me who totally sucks at anything to do with numbers. If not for Mrs. Lim, I would have failed my 9233 mathematics and God knows what I would be doing now…
Ate lunch with Mr. Mark Tan…ate at the coffee shop near school... and yes…I bought from Jing Jing’s store, although Jing Jing was not there… haha, I was reminded of why I stopped buy that particular dish from the store… haha…during the night study scheme last time, I used to have my dinner at the coffee shop and every night for two to three months I would eat the same dish from the same store. Needless to say, I got really sian of the taste. I can’t believe I lasted that long. Haha… Oh well… after today’s lunch, I don’t have the urge to eat that particular dish for another year or so… haha…
I wonder when I will be able to go back again… feel like crashing one of Ms G’s lectures… I miss them a lot…anyone wanna join me? Muah hahaha…

Mr. Tan told me that the lit cohort this year will be staging a production of Othello. Anyone wanna join me?
I don have all the details but I will.
Must go and support them! :)

Currently going crazy over the music of Howl’s Moving Castle… I like… got such sadness and yet there is that element of hope in the tune… don understand what I am typing about? Go watch the movie! Got no one to go with? Call me! :D

The UOL exams are round the corner…argh~ Need to burry my head in the notes arh… must study hard…study group anyone?

I got my hair cut on Monday. I was actually toying with the idea of keeping my hair long for Kor kor’s wedding…but den… nothing can be done for now...it’s already been cut off…hahhaha…but I like having short hair…gives me less things to worry about. :p

I was just talking to Josh Kor about the Muppets. Remember them? The Jim Hanson Creature Shop has come a long way. I can still remember sitting in front of the family television set and singing along with the Muppets during their television specials. I have a soft spot for Beaker, Kermit and that white lion. I can’t seem to recall his name, but I feel sad every time I think about that white lion… hmmm…wonder why…
-rubs head-
Don’t you think the Muppet babies are adorable? :)

Might as well take my leave now…still waiting for certain people to contact me regarding certain matters… patience is a virtue…

Cheers! ^-^

Pimples...yuck!

"Boxing’s all about getting the job done as quickly as possible, whether it takes 10 or 15 or 20 rounds."
- Frank Bruno, Boxer

"Sure there have been injuries and deaths in boxing - but none of them serious."
- Alan Minter, Boxer

I once read a book which said that:
Horses sweat, men perspire and ladies glow.

Today was a day for plenty of glowing.
The weather was hot, training was shiong and as usual, I myself glow a lot on a daily basis.

Went to Compass Point with TKM and ate at Jack’s Place. I can’t really remember the last time I went there to eat and whom I was with… STM…wad to do?
Managed to return my library books. I can’t wait to go borrow new ones…but den again I should be concentrating other books, so I guess I would have to rein my appetite for fiction novels… the one book I really want to read is Howl’s Moving Castle. Can’t seem to find it any where. Shesh~ I might end up buying it from Kino or Borders… see how lah…hopefully I won’t have to spend money… anyone wanna buy the book for me?

Really wanted to take a nap before going down to S.I.M for training, but I ended up using the computer… the nap went flying out the window… good thing I did not fall asleep on either of the buses to school. Thank God… I was yawning like a cat on the second bus… *meow?*

One month of not training at the school grounds. Come back to official training with a bang…go for two training sessions. Initially, I tried out going for two sessions in a day because I wanted to know what it was going to be like. Who knew that it would become more like weekly routine?
-psycho laughter-
It’s all good; I need to train for the up-coming grading anyway. The grading is on 3rd April. O.o’’’ Have to brush up on my pattern ah!
Need to lose weight too. Haha…

The Club purchased new body guards for sparing and hand mits (aka handheld targets). I managed to get Jill to let me bring one home. Heh… don have to borrow liao lo… want to train at home also can… if I out of my mind enough…have to see who in the house I can talk into holding the target for me. Buah hahahahaha~~

Must be the weather, my food intake or hormones… my face kanna out break of pimples ah! ARGH!!! Can’t stand it man!!!! Away with you pimples! AWAY I SAY!

Priority one: Sleep early…eye bags are getting more visible… NOOOOOO!!!!!!

I really want to watch Howl’s Moving Castle again… anyone wanna join me?

Aiyo… have to do so many things before I can go to bed…

Sweet dreams everyone.

Howl's Moving Castle

"The internet is a great way to get on the net."
- Bob Dole, Republican presidential candidate

"I invented the internet".
- Al Gore, former U.S. Vice President

Wow~
What a day!
I watched Howl’s Moving Castle with Yong Jet, Gordon and Jenny (I made a new friend today ^-^).
To those who have not caught the movie yet:
WHAT THE HACK ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?!?!

First I have to warn you about spoilers…don say I never say arh~

The movie revolves around a world where there is magic everywhere. It can be felt by anyone and the possibilities of getting caught under a spell are very high. The characters are not unlike you and me, because they are not perfect. Like every fairytale, there are good and bad guys but there are also those who can’t be put into a box. There are a lot of times where you have to do a double take and realize that appearance verse reality is a big issue, maturity and the concept of how we see ourselves in various situations is also addressed. Juxta positioning is a key feature. All at once, it is possible to see the dualities of the things going on in the film and in reality. It has a very strong anti-war message and I guess the movie coming out at this now is rather timely, I wonder if it will get to the US. Hrmmm…

I profess that I have yet to watch Spirited Away, so I have no idea what the drawings or music in that movie are like. I only know that it does not have a very happy ending and that the girl’s parents get turned into pigs, Oh! There’s also a dragon in the anime right?

Thus I am very satisfied with Howl’s Moving Castle. Sweet parts made me sigh and sad parts made me cry. The only critique I have is that although the overall pace was good, the ending was more like ‘we don’t have enough time left, hurry up and finish it before we turn into an animated LOTR.’ i.e. too rushed.

Everything was well drawn and I love the imagination of the artists, but the old people and the Witch of the Waste just plain give me the creeps! Totally *BLEAH*!! Felt extremely grossed out by that character in particular. On the other hand, there are also very very cute characters which more than make up for the probability of me getting horrible nightmares. I don mind dreaming about Howl, he can come into my dreams anytime babeh~
-migumi laughter-

Overall, I would consider this one of the better animes which I have seen of late. It ranks right up there with the Rurouni Kenshin OVA (the first one).
Would I watch it again? YES!
Would I buy the vcd/ dvd? YEAH!
I can’t wait to watch it again, mostly because I want to get the storyline right and understand the anime better. Watching Howl again would not hurt either ;) …
-more migumi laughter-

From the movie, we went to play pool and as usual I ended up putting on my headless chicken to rush home. Had to be early for cell today, I was leading praise and worship lah, needed to run through the songs with Jeff, coz I din know if he knew all of the songs. I am very big on hymns :). On the way to cell, I bought Kimiaki dinner… heh~ I might try out that vegetarian store one day…I miss Jing Jing’s vegetarian food…but I digress… cell was good and we spent quite some time talking about this and that and that one and this one and which one and how one, etc. Haha…

This Rob Thomas song has been in my head for quite a while… it was bugging me during the IBM mock exam… haha…I still like it all the same ^-^.

Lonely No More

Now it seems to me
That you know just what to say
But words are only words
Can you show me something else

Can you swear to me
That you'll always be this way
Show me how you feel
More than ever baby

[Chorus:]
I don't wanna be lonely no more
I don't wanna have to pay for this
I don't want another lover at my door
It's just another heartache on my list

I don't wanna be angry no more
You know I could never stand for this
So when you tell me that you love me know for sure
I don't wanna be lonely anymore
Whoa, whoa, ho, oh whoa [2x]

Now it's hard for me
When my heart's still on the mend
Open up to me
Like you do your girlfriends

And you sing to me and it's hardly
Girl what you do to me is everything
Make me say anything just to get you back again
Why can't we just try

[Chorus]

What if I was good to you
What if you were good to me
What if I could hold you till
I feel you move inside of me

What if it was paradise
And what if we were symphonies
What if I give all my life to
Find some way to stand beside you

[Chorus]

Whoa, whoa, ho, oh whoa
Whoa, whoa, ho, oh whoa (I don't wanna be lonely anymore)
Whoa, whoa, ho, oh whoa (I don't wanna be lonely no more) [2x]
Whoa, whoa, ho, oh whoa
I don't wanna be lonely anymore

Yang Mui!
I like that story on Woman. Very touching. ^-^
Have you started studying yet?

Jie Yang!
You wanna make a visit to Jing Jing’s store? I thinking about the food… *Mmmmm*

Kimiaki!
May the joy of the Lord be your strength! :)
All the best for the interview!
Looking forward to the movie marathon… woohooo~

Siya!
How was the date/outing/thing with *ahem!*?
-even more migumi laughter-

Ivan!
Breathe the free air dear~
How does it feel to be further up the food chain?
I choop one of your 12 days! I choop! I choop! I choop!
Don say I never say ah~

That’s all for now, mine eyes are seeing stars,
Cheers everyone!
-hugz-

It's time

"Golden, Ripe, Boneless Bananas, 39 Cents A Pound."
- Ad in the "Missoulian" by Orange Street Food Farm

The beginning of a new week. I wonder what lies ahead for me and my comrades. Oh gosh~ Alfred ah… does that sound familiar? X.x

It is total crap when the floodgates open.
I feel like rubbish for yielding to the temptation of swearing and yet I still do. Swear the whole day I do. Pray for those who come near me. Even my parents are not spared.
My depression lasted for about 2 weeks….so the floodgates were not closed until recently… *sigh*

The past few weeks since I have not blogged have been a total mess. Even the idea of getting up in the morning tiers me out. I have a very bad memory, but since I am trying my best to forgive and forget, I shall not pen down all my grievances save for one.

My computer and phone line got hacked into. The person who did so used the hone line to make a lot of overseas calls. The cost incurred has not yet been tallied up. To say that my family and I are angry would be an extreme understatement. I supposed the only good thing to come out of all this is that I now use broadband instead of dial-up… and its unlimited… ladida~
Oh! I also managed to study since the computer was down during the starting of the mocks…but I still had to do a lot of ‘smoking’ during the mocks. =.=;;;

Due to the whole change in system and what not, I had to once again get the computer reformatted and consequently, I lost all the photos I took on previous occasions… ala the outing with my CC TKD peeps and the others. *SOBZ*
Sorry ah guys…not my fault…blame the idiot who hacked my computer…
Along with the photos, I also lost the rest of my documents (again), so I have to start from scratch (AGAIN).
-hums Vertical Horizon’s Best I Ever Had-
It’s not so bad… at least I did not lose my creative writings. ^-^
There’s always a brighter side to look at. Heh~
The only problem is that I keep forgetting to look for it. O.o’’’

Since I can no longer trust my computer to save my files, I have decided to save as many photos, etc online as possible…so now the journey of uploading begins… wish me luck… anyway, you will be able to see the pictures at my various picture sites… just donno whether to get new ones…coz I might not have enough space on just one site…. buah hahaha… you have been warned… the camera whore has returned! Right Parveen?

I JUST WATCHED THE MV FOR MICHAEL BUBLE’S ‘FEELING GOOD’.
TOTAL MELT DOWN MAN!!!!!! *swoons*
I HAVE DECIDED!
I WANT THE ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT’S TIME!!!!!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~~~~

The mocks ended on Friday so now I have to start my mega mugging.
Have to buck up on my Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Sociology and Introduction to Business and Management…wait…that everything! O.o’’’
Study group anyone?

There was supposed to be training at S.I.M. tomorrow…I mean it was supposed to resume tomorrow after that one month break from the 7th of Feb to 7th of March, but since attendance is not going to be good tomorrow, Jill has cancelled the session. Power of Jill! Haha…then again, it remains to be seen whether there will be training at S.I.M. on Wednesday…oh well…I can’t tell the future…

Joshy Kor,
THANKS FOR THE CDS!!!!!
I listen until bonkas liao… haha…
THANKS!!! ^-^

For the hack of it… here’s the song that drove me nuts (in a good way) just now:

"Feeling Good"

Birds flying high
You know how I feel
Sun in the sky
You know how I feel
Reeds driftin' on by
You know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good

Fish in the sea
You know how I feel
River running free
You know how I feel
Blossom in the tree
You know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good

Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don't you know
Butterflies all havin' fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when the day is done
And this old world is a new world
And a bold world
For me

Stars when you shine
You know how I feel
Scent of the pine
You know how I feel
Yeah freedom is mine
And I know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me

And I'm feeling good

OK…time to go watch some music videos…woohoooo~
BROADBAND ROCKS!!!!!!
-great big giant hugz-
Cheers! ^-^

Poetry : How I feel

Time to fly
Cut myself and watch me die.
Sick of life
But who am I?
Really.

Oh me
Oh my
Living on a dream
Hear the cracking
Sense the pop
Feel the pain of reality.
I don’t want to be here
Save me. Take away me.

Hold my hands up
To the sky
Waiting for the answers
They pass me by
Sadness is overwhelming.

Life in a bottle
What’s the use of carrying on?

Just for those looking for jobs to pass the time before continueing your studies:

Interpreting Employment Ads

"Competitive Salary" - We remain competitive by paying less than our competitors.

"Join Our Fast Paced Company" - We have no time to train you.

"Casual Work Atmosphere" - We don't pay enough to expect that you will dress up.

"Must be Deadline Oriented" - You will be six months behind schedule on your first day.

"Some Overtime Required" - Some time each night, some time each weekend.

"Duties will Vary" - Anyone in the office can boss you around.

"Must have an Eye for Detail" - We have no quality control.

"Seeking Candidates with a Wide Variety of Experience" - You will need to replace three people who just left.

"Problem Solving Skills a Must" - You are walking into a company in perpetual chaos. Haven't heard a word from anyone out there. Your first task is to find out what is going on.

With regard to my lack of blogging for the past few days/weeks, that would probably be addressed in my next entry...

Take care you all!
Cheers!
